3 signs your team lacks trust (and you don’t see it)

Most teams would say:
“We trust each other.”
But when you look closer…
it often shows up differently.
Here are 3 signs I look for:
1. Everything sounds aligned
No disagreement.
No tension.
Quick decisions.
Looks efficient.
But often…people just do not say what they really think.
2. Conversations happen after the meeting
The meeting goes well.
Then the real discussion starts…
in the hallway,
on chat,
in smaller groups.
That is where the truth is.
3. Issues come up too late
Problems are not raised early.
They appear when it is already too big,
too visible,
too late.
Because speaking up earlier did not feel safe.
Trust is not what people say.
It is what they are willing to saywhen it matters.
